Commenti: This Sangiovese-based wine blended with small amounts of local native Canaiolo and Colorino grapes grown in Val d'Orcia, takes its name from the Barlettaia road, which in medieval times connected Mount Amiata to Montepulciano, crossing the village of Monticchiello and the Terre di Nano estate. Aged in barriques, the wine is let to age about six more month in the bottles before release.

Balanced and pleasantly soft to the palate, with abundant notes of red fruits, the Barlettaia is a Chianti with great strength which ages gracefully. It is particularly apt to pair red roasted meat and game, but pairs well with aged cheeses as well.

The bottle should be opened one hour before serving at 18°-20°C (64.4°-68°F).
