Emporio-Italia.com was first launched in 2005 as the online front store for Italian wine promoter web site, WineCountry.IT, featuring selected wines from small, often family-run boutique estates, whose prices were competitive with those of average California wines.
WineCountry.IT, LLC is one of the business ventures co-founded and managed by Loris Scagliarini, a California transplant to the San Francisco Bay Area from Castelfranco Emilia, Italy. Thus now, seven years later, Loris decided to expand Emporio-Italia.com to include other Italian products featured in different departments.
